
PULLING SHOTS
1. Take out the group handle and clean the basket inside with a brush or a
clean towel. The basket needs to be dry and clean.
2. Grind the correct amount of coffee: a single group handle requires a single
dose, a double handle always needs a double dose.
You can not put a single dose in a double group handle.
3. Level out the coffee in the basket and use a tamper to tamp the coffee.
Ensure the coffee is tamped perfectly level and use enough pressure to
ensure the coffee becomes a solid puck.
4. Flush a little water through the group head to ensure the shower screen is
perfectly clean.
5. Insert the group handle and press the correct button straight away. Be
careful not to leave the coffee in the handle without brewing as the group is
very hot and will heat the ground coffee which is not good. So, lock and load
straight away!
Watch the extraction. It should come out after a few seconds of pressing the
button. The extraction needs to come out slowly, just faster than a drip, and looking
like warm honey. Towards the end of the extraction it will lose its texture and look
lighter. The extraction time should be around 25 seconds.
